The Agilent N2260A and N2266A are high-density, reconfigurable multiplexer (MUX) modules built for high-throughput production test. Each module can be operated in either SCPI or 3488A mode, giving integrators flexibility in how switching is commanded within an automated test system.
These multiplexer modules route many signals to a smaller set of measurement instruments in high-throughput production test environments. The N2260A's low thermal offset voltage makes it well-suited to low-level signal switching, where small thermally induced voltages would otherwise corrupt the measurement, while high-speed switching supports throughput-sensitive test sequences.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. Holding our own inventory and verifying used units in-house lets us match the right module, in the right condition, to your test-system requirements.
Agilent Technologies was spun off from Hewlett-Packard in 1999, taking with it the original test and measurement business. In 2014, that electronic measurement business was established as Keysight Technologies, which carries the product line forward today.
The N2260A and N2266A make up a pair of high-density, reconfigurable 2-wire, 40-channel multiplexer modules designed for high-throughput production test. Both share the same reconfigurable architecture — operable in SCPI or 3488A mode and switchable between 1-, 2-, and 4-wire topologies — and both include built-in relay cycle counters.
Each module can be set up as an 80-channel 1-wire MUX, a 40-channel 2-wire MUX, dual independent 20-channel 2-wire MUXs, or a 20-channel 4-wire MUX, and multiple modules scale within a 3499A mainframe for larger channel counts.
Each model below is its own dedicated pre-owned product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the module and configuration that fits your switching application, and review the comparison table for the differences between the two.
The N2260A is characterized by low thermal offset voltage, which makes it well-suited to low-level signal switching where small thermally induced voltages would otherwise corrupt the measurement.
The two modules differ chiefly in their switching emphasis. The N2266A can scan at up to 350 channels per second, supporting throughput-sensitive production test sequences, while the N2260A's low thermal offset voltage targets accurate low-level signal switching.
See the comparison table below for the configuration and performance differences between the N2260A and N2266A.
| Model | Channels (2-wire) | Wire Modes | Max Scan Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| N2260A | 40 (2-wire) | 1, 2, and 4-wire | — |
| N2266A | 40 (2-wire) | 1, 2, and 4-wire | 350 channels/second |
Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
