The Agilent 4263B is an LCR meter covering a test frequency range of 100 Hz to 100 kHz, designed for fast measurements on components in applications that require both precision and versatility. The datasheet describes the instrument's performance as ranging from general bench-top impedance measurements to complex transformer, coil, and electrolytic capacitor measurements, with the design objectives of fast, reliable, and versatile testing at a low cost.
An LCR meter applies an AC test signal to a passive component and measures the resulting impedance to determine inductance (L), capacitance (C), and resistance (R) characteristics. The 4263B's listed applications include general bench-top impedance measurements, transformer testing, coil characterization, and electrolytic capacitor evaluation. With Option 001, the instrument adds turns-ratio, mutual inductance, and DC resistance measurement functions for transformer evaluation. The datasheet's electrolytic capacitor section highlights the built-in DC bias source, high-energy protection on the terminals, and fast system measurements for production throughput.
ValueTronics International has supplied new and pre-owned electronic test and measurement equipment to engineering, calibration, and production teams since 1992. The 4263B LCR meters in our catalog are stored, inspected, and tested at our 20,000 sq ft secure facility at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois, where our in-house technical staff verifies functionality against published specifications before any unit ships. Working directly with a stocking source — rather than a drop-ship broker or unverified marketplace listing — gives buyers a single accountable point of contact for condition questions, accessory completeness, calibration status, and post-sale support.
The 4263B was originally a Hewlett-Packard product. In 1999, HP spun off its test and measurement business as Agilent Technologies, and in 2014 Agilent's electronic measurement division was transferred to Keysight Technologies, which today supports the legacy Agilent T&M catalog. Buyers may encounter this instrument labeled as either HP or Agilent depending on production date; both branding generations are functionally the same product line.
