The Tektronix TDS 200 Series is a line of Digital Real-Time oscilloscopes that delivers digital and real-time acquisition advantages at price points associated with analog oscilloscopes. Positioned by Tektronix as a personal oscilloscope built for those who demand strong oscilloscope value, the series pairs portable, bench-friendly hardware with a familiar, analog-style operating experience. The TDS 210, TDS 220, and TDS 224 share a common Digital Real-Time architecture, with the TDS 224 extending that performance to four full-featured channels.

The series is intended for design and debug, service and repair, manufacturing test and quality control, and education and training. Its portable form factor lets the instrument be moved easily between workspaces or stored safely when not in use, making it suitable for the bench, the production line, or the training lab.

ValueTronics holds and stocks its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, so the instruments we list are equipment we keep on hand. Pre-owned units are inspected and functionally verified in-house before they ship, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The TDS 200 Series brings together three Digital Real-Time oscilloscopes - the TDS 210, TDS 220, and TDS 224 - that share a common architecture and operating experience while differing in bandwidth and channel count. All three sample at 1 GS/s on every channel and offer the same vertical sensitivity range, timebase range, acquisition modes, and analog-style user interface.

Tektronix introduced the TDS 224 to extend the Digital Real-Time performance of the series to applications that require four full-featured channels, alongside the two-channel TDS 210 and TDS 220.

Each pre-owned model below has its own dedicated product page with pre-owned-matched pricing. Select the model that matches your required bandwidth and channel count to see its full specifications and current pre-owned availability.

Across the series the headline differences are bandwidth and channel count: the TDS 210 provides 60 MHz of bandwidth, while the TDS 220 and TDS 224 each provide 100 MHz. The TDS 210 and TDS 220 are two-channel instruments with external trigger, whereas the TDS 224 is a four-channel instrument; trigger sources follow accordingly, with CH1, CH2, Ext, and Ext/5 on the TDS 210 and TDS 220 and CH1 through CH4 on the TDS 224.

Non-volatile waveform storage also tracks channel count - the TDS 210 and TDS 220 store two 2500-point reference waveforms while the TDS 224 stores four. The comparison table below summarizes these per-model differences in bandwidth, channels, trigger sources, and reference-waveform storage.

Model Bandwidth Channels Sample Rate
TDS 224 100 MHz 4 1 GS/s
TDS 210 60 MHz 2 1 GS/s
TDS 220 100 MHz 2 1 GS/s

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
