The Advantest R3765H is a vector network analyzer covering 40 MHz to 3.8 GHz, part of the R3764H/3765H Series of instruments designed to measure amplitude, phase, group delay, and impedance of electronic devices with precision at high speed. The R3765H provides a 7.8 inch TFT color LCD with 640 x 480 resolution, supporting log/linear Cartesian coordinate, polar coordinate, and Smith chart display modes, making it suited for production engineering use as well as bench characterization.
Within the R3764H/3765H Series, three model variants are available to match different application requirements. Type A is the basic model with a built-in signal separator and two inputs that supports simultaneous measurement on two devices. Type B incorporates a power splitter and SWR bridge, allowing transmission and reflection characteristics to be measured efficiently and supporting 1-port calibration for higher-accuracy measurement. Type C incorporates an S-parameter test set with two SWR bridges, a power splitter, and a semiconductor switch for forward/reverse switching, measuring S11, S21, S22, and S12 in auto-reversing mode.
ValueTronics International stocks, inspects, and tests RF and microwave instruments including the R3764H/3765H Series at our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Every used network analyzer that passes through our facility is bench-verified by our technicians against the manufacturer's published specifications before it leaves our shipping floor, and condition reports document what was found rather than what was assumed. This is the dimension of accountability that drop-shippers and pass-through brokers cannot offer on a precision instrument like a vector network analyzer.
Advantest Corporation is a Japanese test and measurement company that has manufactured semiconductor and component test instruments since 1954 and has operated under the Advantest name since 1985. The R3764H/3765H Series network analyzers are part of Advantest's long-standing instrument catalog and remain in active service in production-test environments worldwide.
The R3764H/3765H Series is positioned as two parallel product groups built on a shared 40 MHz to 3.8 GHz measurement architecture. The R3764H is intended for system use and pairs a simple structure with a fluorescent character display tube, making it suited to production-line integration. The R3765H is intended for stand-alone bench use and provides a 7.8 inch TFT color LCD that supports production or engineering applications including Smith chart and polar coordinate displays not available on the R3764H.
Each of the two series is available in three configuration types — Type A basic, Type B with built-in SWR bridge, and Type C with built-in S-parameter test set — allowing the buyer to select the test-port hardware that fits the device-under-test geometry without changing the underlying measurement platform.
Each pre-owned model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Specifications, accessories, and supported calibration routines are shared across the series and described above; the per-model pages capture the specific test-port hardware of each configuration.
The R3765H provides the 7.8 inch TFT color LCD with 640 x 480 resolution and supports 4-channel/8-trace simultaneous display with separated or overlapped formats, Smith chart and polar coordinate display modes (R3765H only per the datasheet), and the 10-marker-per-channel function with limit-line PASS/FAIL judgment on rectangular, polar, and Smith chart displays.
The primary family differences are display, test-port hardware, and output level. The R3764H uses a fluorescent character display tube with a 256 x 64 dot resolution suited to character readouts, while the R3765H uses a 7.8 inch TFT color LCD with 640 x 480 dot resolution supporting Smith chart and polar coordinate display formats. Output level varies by configuration type: Type A delivers +17 to -8 dBm, Type B delivers +7 to -18 dBm, and Type C delivers +10 to -15 dBm across the 40 MHz to 3.8 GHz range.
Calibration and measurement coverage also differs by type. Type A supports A/R, B/R measurements and normalized calibration; Type B adds transmission, reflection, and transmission-and-reflection measurements with 1-port calibration; Type C is the only configuration that supports the full S-parameter set (S11, S21, S22, S12) with 2-port calibration and is also the only type with ±30 VDC, 0.5 A port bias capability. Crosstalk specifications also vary between Types A/B (90 dB) and Type C (90 dB to 2.6 GHz, 85 dB above).
