The Agilent N5247A is a PNA-X series vector network analyzer covering 10 MHz to 67 GHz. The N5247A is offered with multiple test set configurations, including 2-port (Option 200) and 4-port (Option 400) base units, with optional extended power range, internal second source, mechanical switches, and high-accuracy noise figure measurement hardware (Option 029).

The N5247A is used for measurements that include S-parameter network analysis, reflection and transmission measurements, group delay measurements, and — with Option 029 — high-accuracy noise figure measurements. The instrument's specifications cover dynamic accuracy verification through compression-over-frequency and IF linearity measurements, and the analyzer supports both filtered and high-power source modes for harmonic management versus output power optimization.

ValueTronics International, LLC has supported test and measurement professionals since 1992 from our 20,000 square foot warehouse and testing facility at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every {{CONDITION}} N5247A passing through our facility is handled by our in-house team — not drop-shipped from a third party — which is why the documentation, accessory verification, and post-sale support our customers receive on RF and microwave instruments at this level reflect a direct relationship with the people who stocked, evaluated, and shipped the unit.

Brand Heritage

The N5247A was introduced under the Agilent Technologies brand. Agilent's electronic test and measurement business was transferred to Keysight Technologies in 2014, and the PNA-X product family has continued under Keysight since that transition. Agilent itself was originally spun off from Hewlett-Packard in 1999.

Important: Test port damage input level: RF >+24 dBm, DC 40 V. For Option 224 Source 2 Out 1 and Source 2 Out 2: RF >+24 dBm, DC 0 V. With Option 029 in noise mode, Test Port 1 damage level is >+10 dBm RF / 40 V DC.Important: All specifications and characteristics apply over a 25 °C ±5 °C range (unless otherwise stated) and 90 minutes after the instrument has been turned on.Important: Typical performance information between 67 GHz and 70 GHz is provided where available; performance is degraded at particular frequencies in this range due to the modes of the 1.85 mm connectors used in the analyzer, test port cables, and adapters.Important: Option 029 (high-accuracy noise figure) requires one of Option 224 or Option 423.Important: Option 219 requires Option 200. Option 224 requires Options 200, 219, and 080.Important: Option 419 requires Option 400. Option 423 requires Options 400, 419, and 080. Option 080 is recommended with Option 400.Important: Calibration of the analyzer is performed using a separately-ordered calibration kit (e.g., 85058B mechanical cal kit) or ECal module (e.g., N4694A 2-Port ECal). These cal standards are not included with the base analyzer and must be selected to match the application.Recommended pairing: the 85058B (1.85 mm) calibration kit and N4694A 2-port electronic calibration module are the calibration accessories whose corrected system performance is published with this analyzer's data sheet.
