The Anritsu MT8820A Radio Communication Analyzer is a hardware platform covering a frequency range of 30 MHz to 2.7 GHz, designed to evaluate transmission and reception characteristics of mobile terminals across multiple cellular communication standards. When configured with dedicated measurement software and hardware options, this single platform supports W-CDMA/HSDPA, GSM/GPRS/EGPRS, cdma2000 1x (IS-2000), cdma2000 1xEV-DO, PDC, and PHS/ADVANCED PHS terminal evaluation. Advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and parallel-measurement technology reduce the time required for the production and testing of mobile terminals.

The MT8820A is used for transmitter and receiver measurements of mobile terminals including call processing across the supported communication systems. Specific measurements include output power, modulation analysis, occupied bandwidth, spectrum emission mask, adjacent channel leakage power ratio, peak code domain error, frequency error, phase error, bit error rate, frame error rate, block error rate, and packet error rate. The platform also supports end-to-end communications testing with handsets, transmission and reception audio measurements, and W-CDMA video phone testing between two MT8820A units via Ethernet.

Brand Heritage

Anritsu is a Japanese precision measurement company with roots extending to 1895. Anritsu acquired Wiltron Company in 1993, integrating Wiltron's RF and microwave measurement technology and its North American commercial presence into the current Anritsu product structure.
