The Agilent DSO1000A/B Series is a line of portable benchtop oscilloscopes engineered to deliver the signal-capture performance and feature depth associated with larger instruments in a compact, low-cost, lightweight package. Weighing less than seven pounds with a small footprint, the series combines powerful signal capture and display, advanced measurement capability, and a streamlined operating workflow across both its A and B model families.
An oscilloscope captures voltage waveforms over time and displays them on screen, letting an engineer see a signal's amplitude, frequency, timing, and shape — making it one of the most universal diagnostic instruments on an electronics bench. The DSO1000A/B Series is positioned for product design work in R&D, for teaching basic scientific and engineering measurements at lab stations in schools and universities, and for testing in manufacturing and service environments, where standard go/no-go mask testing supports fast pass/fail decisions.

Agilent Technologies was established in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard, taking on HP's test-and-measurement business. In 2014, Agilent's electronic measurement business was separated again and rebranded as Keysight Technologies.
The DSO1000A/B Series is organized into two-channel and four-channel models spanning a range of bandwidths. The two-channel lineup runs from the 50 MHz DSO1052B through the 70 MHz DSO1072B, 100 MHz DSO1102B, 150 MHz DSO1152B, and 200 MHz DSO1022A, while the four-channel lineup comprises the 60 MHz DSO1004A, 100 MHz DSO1014A, and 200 MHz DSO1024A.
Beyond bandwidth and channel count, the family divides into A and B models that differ in sample rate, acquisition memory, and I/O. A models provide up to 2 GSa/s and 20 kpts of memory, while B models provide up to 1 GSa/s and 16 kpts, with both sharing the same 5.7-inch display, 23-measurement set, math and FFT functions, mask testing, and eleven-language interface.

The clearest differences across the family are bandwidth and channel count: bandwidth ranges from 50 MHz to 200 MHz, and models are configured with either two or four input channels, as shown in the comparison table below. Time-base range also tracks the model — the 200 MHz models reach 1 ns/div, while lower-bandwidth models start at 2 ns/div or 5 ns/div.
The A/B suffix marks a second axis of difference. A models offer higher real-time sample rate (up to 2 GSa/s) and deeper memory (up to 20 kpts), add a rear-panel USB host port, support USBTMC remote PC control, and include pattern triggering and the Ext/5 trigger source; B models provide up to 1 GSa/s and 16 kpts with a front-panel USB host port, without USBTMC remote control or pattern triggering.
