The Agilent 1000 Series is a line of portable digital storage oscilloscopes engineered to deliver big-scope performance and features in a compact, lower-cost instrument. The series spans six models that pair 60, 100, or 200 MHz of bandwidth with either two or four input channels, all sharing the same core acquisition architecture and user interface.
Agilent positions the 1000 Series for three primary environments: product design in R&D, teaching basic scientific and engineering measurements at lab stations in schools and universities, and testing on the manufacturing or service floor where standard go/no-go mask testing supports fast pass/fail decisions. Its sub-7-pound weight and small footprint let it move easily between benches and locations.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, which keeps the equipment we sell under our direct control from intake through shipment. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it leaves the building, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received.
Agilent Technologies was established in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement, semiconductor, and analytical businesses. In 2014, Agilent's electronic measurement business was separated again to form Keysight Technologies, which carries this test and measurement product line today.
The Agilent 1000 Series is a single family of portable digital storage oscilloscopes offered in six models. The lineup combines three bandwidth tiers — 60 MHz, 100 MHz, and 200 MHz — with a choice of two or four input channels, so the channel count and bandwidth can be matched to the application without changing instrument platforms.
All six models share the same acquisition engine, delivering up to 2 GSa/s sample rate and up to 20 kpts of memory depth, along with the same 5.7-inch color display, 23 automatic measurements, mask testing, sequence mode, and USB connectivity. The differences between models are confined to bandwidth, channel count, and the related minimum timebase setting, as the comparison table below details.
Each model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing for the pre-owned unit you select. Use the comparison table and the linked model pages to confirm the bandwidth and channel configuration before ordering.
The primary differentiator across the 1000 Series is bandwidth: the DSO1002A and DSO1004A are specified at DC to 60 MHz, the DSO1012A and DSO1014A at DC to 100 MHz, and the DSO1022A and DSO1024A at DC to 200 MHz. Within each bandwidth tier, the lower model number denotes a 2-channel instrument and the higher denotes a 4-channel instrument — for example, the DSO1002A is 2-channel and the DSO1004A is 4-channel at 60 MHz.
Minimum timebase setting also tracks with bandwidth: the 200 MHz models reach 1 ns/div, the 100 MHz models 2 ns/div, and the 60 MHz models 5 ns/div, with all models extending to 50 s/div at the slow end. Sample rate (up to 2 GSa/s), memory depth (up to 20 kpts), display, and measurement features are common to every model, as shown in the comparison table that follows.
| Model | Bandwidth | Channels | Sample Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| DSO1002A | 60 MHz | 2 | 2 GSa/s |
| DSO1004A | 60 MHz | 4 | 2 GSa/s |
| DSO1012A | 100 MHz | 2 | 2 GSa/s |
| DSO1014A | 100 MHz | 4 | 2 GSa/s |
