The Agilent 6060B is a 300-watt single-input DC electronic load covering 0 to 60 amperes and 3 to 60 volts, with a maximum power rating of 300W at 40°C. It is part of the Agilent dc electronic load family, which is designed for the test and evaluation of DC power sources and power components in manufacturing, research and development, and incoming inspection environments.
The 6060B supports applications including power supply load regulation testing, battery capacity testing, capacitor discharging, power supply load transient response, power component testing, pulse electroplating, current source testing, current limit testing, shunt regulator characterization, and power resistor emulation. It is specifically designed for stability in applications where fast transients are applied to the load inputs, such as during DC power supply startup characterization or transient response testing.
ValueTronics International, LLC stocks, inspects, and tests Agilent dc electronic loads at our 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned 6060B is processed by our in-house technicians before it ships — unlike drop-shipping resellers and online marketplaces, we hold the physical inventory and perform functional verification on site so the unit you receive matches the condition described in your order.
Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business was spun out as Agilent Technologies in 1999, and the electronic measurement portion of Agilent became Keysight Technologies in 2014. The 6060B and the broader Agilent dc electronic load family originated in this Hewlett-Packard test and measurement lineage.
The Agilent dc electronic load family consists of two mainframe products (6050A 1800W and 6051A 600W) that accept user-installable load modules, and two single-input standalone loads (6060B 300W and 6063B 250W). Five load modules are available for the mainframes: 60501B (150W), 60502B (300W), 60503B (250W), 60504B (600W), and 60507B (500W). The 6050A accepts up to six modules of the 60501B/60502B/60503B type or up to three 60504B/60507B modules; the 6051A accepts two of the smaller modules or one of the larger modules.
Across the family, all models share the same GPIB control architecture, SCPI command set, built-in transient generator, and protection features. The differences between models are in current, voltage, and power ratings — selected based on the device under test's operating range. The single-input 6060B and 6063B provide a self-contained load instrument, while the mainframes provide a multi-module solution where one GPIB address controls multiple independent loads.
Each pre-owned model below is its own product page with condition-matched pricing and availability. Use the comparison to confirm which current, voltage, and power rating fits your application, then select the model page for ordering details.
Within the standalone single-input loads, the 6060B is positioned for general-purpose DC power supply and power component test up to 60V and 60A. It shares the same 300W power rating as the 60502B load module, allowing test programs developed for one to be used interchangeably with the other.
The two single-input standalone loads differ primarily in voltage and current ratings: the 6060B covers 3 to 60V at 0 to 60A (300W), while the 6063B covers 3 to 240V at 0 to 10A (250W) — making the 6063B the choice for higher-voltage, lower-current applications and the 6060B the choice for higher-current applications at moderate voltages.
Among the modules, the 60501B (150W, 60V, 30A) is the lowest-power option, the 60504B (600W, 60V, 120A) is the highest-current option, and the 60507B (500W, 150V, 60A) bridges to higher voltage at substantial current. The mainframe products (6050A and 6051A) allow combinations of modules under a single GPIB address. See the comparison table for current, voltage, power, and accuracy specifications across the family.
