The HP 3325B is a 1 µHz to 21 MHz synthesizer/function generator designed for high-performance signal generation on the bench and in automated test systems. It combines synthesizer-grade frequency precision with the waveform versatility of a function generator, producing sine, square, triangle, positive and negative ramps, and user-defined arbitrary waveforms. The instrument provides 1 µHz frequency resolution below 100 kHz and 1 mHz resolution at and above 100 kHz, with frequency accuracy of ±5 × 10⁻⁶ at 20°C to 30°C at the time of calibration.
The 3325B is used in general-purpose bench applications and in HP-IB-controlled ATE systems where its synthesized accuracy and waveform flexibility serve as a single source for stimulus testing. Precision squarewaves up to 10.999,999 MHz have 20 ns rise times with synthesizer accuracy and precision, and triangle and ramp waveshapes are available with 0.05 percent linearity up to 10.999,999 kHz. DC offset can be added to the standard waveforms, and the internal modulation source can be used to deliver user-defined waveshapes, allowing the 3325B to act as an arbitrary function generator via HP-IB.
ValueTronics International has supplied new and used test and measurement equipment from our facility in Elgin, Illinois since 1992. The HP 3325B units we offer are stored and tested at our 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, where our technicians inspect each instrument before it ships. Working with ValueTronics rather than an unverified marketplace source means the synthesizer arrives with documented condition, the accessories you expect, and a direct line to the person who handled your order if anything needs follow-up.
Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business was spun out as Agilent Technologies in 1999, and the electronic measurement portion of Agilent became Keysight Technologies in 2014. The HP 3325B is a product of the original Hewlett-Packard era; calibration support and documentation for instruments of this lineage routes through Keysight today.
