The Chroma 19032 is an Electrical Safety Analyzer that combines five distinct safety-test instruments — AC withstand voltage (ACWV), DC withstand voltage (DCWV), insulation resistance (IR), ground bond (GB), and leakage current (LC) — in a single chassis. The product is designed for compliance and production safety testing of electrical products where multiple safety parameters must be verified in sequence or in parallel. By consolidating five test functions into one instrument, the 19032 eliminates the bench space, capital cost, and operator time required to maintain separate dedicated testers for each function.
Per the Chroma datasheet, the 19032 series is applied to versatile electrical safety testing including quality assurance sampling inspection, manufacturing line test, and development validation. The datasheet lists specific application categories: power cords, household appliances, information technology products, medical equipment, lab and testing equipment, EMI filters, electric vehicles, and solar/PV inverters. Each of these product categories has a corresponding international safety standard, and the 19032 supports the test sequences these standards require — IEC 60950 for IT products, IEC 60335 for household appliances, IEC 60601 for medical equipment, IEC 60065 for video products, and IEC 61347-1 for lighting and LED.
Chroma ATE Inc. is a Taiwan-headquartered test and measurement manufacturer founded in 1984, with its head office at the Hwaya Technology Park in Taoyuan. Chroma has operated under the same corporate identity since founding and maintains direct subsidiaries in the United States (Chroma Systems Solutions, headquartered in Foothill Ranch, California), Europe (Chroma ATE Europe B.V. in the Netherlands), Japan, and China. The 19032 series is developed and manufactured by Chroma ATE Inc. with no intervening brand changes.
The 19032 family consists of two models — the base 19032 and the higher-power 19032-P — that share the same five-function architecture (ACWV / DCWV / IR / GB / LC) and the same OSC, Twinport, and Flashover Detection capabilities. The two models differ primarily in output power, ground-bond current range, operator safety circuitry, and host interface.
Both models carry CE certification per the datasheet, use the same LCD display and front-panel layout, and support the same scanner accessory family for dynamic leakage current testing (the 6000-series scanners and the 9030 scanning boxes).
Each model below has its own product page with new-matched pricing. The base 19032 and the 19032-P are sold as separate part numbers; select the model that matches the test power level, ground-bond current range, and operator-safety requirements of your production line.
The 19032 is the base model: 1–30 A AC ground bond current, 40 mA AC / 12 mA DC Hipot cutoff current, RS-232 standard with optional GPIB, and 800 W power consumption at rated load. It is the right choice for general electrical safety testing of IT products, household appliances, power supplies, and adapters where the leakage and ground-bond requirements stay within these ranges.
The 19032-P extends the family with 500 VA Hipot output (versus the base 19032's lower power tier), 100 mA AC / 25 mA DC cutoff current, and 3–40 A AC ground bond current — significantly higher than the base 19032's 30 A maximum. These extensions are needed when the DUT itself draws more leakage current (for example, large EMI filters or large motors as called out on the datasheet) or when the ground-bond standard requires a higher test current.
The 19032-P also adds two operator-safety features that the base 19032 does not include: a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) circuit that cuts output voltage if more than approximately 0.5 mA ±0.25 mA flows through the operator path, and a Floating Output mode that keeps ground-terminal leakage below 3 mA on the front output per EN 50191. The 19032-P uses USB (compatible with USB TMC) as its standard interface in place of the base model's RS-232. See the comparison table below for the full specification deltas.
| Model | Modes | Max AC Hipot Voltage | Max Ground Bond Current |
|---|---|---|---|
| 19032-P | ACWV/DCWV/IR/GB/LC | 5 kVac / 6 kVdc | 40 A AC |
| 19032 | ACWV/DCWV/IR/GB/LC | 5 kVac / 6 kVdc | 30 A AC (40 A or 60 A with optional current transformer) |
