The RSA6100A Series are Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA) that combine the functionality of a wide-band vector signal analyzer, a spectrum analyzer, and the unique trigger-capture-analyze capability of a real-time instrument in a single package. The patented DPX spectrum display offers a live, color-graded view of signal transients changing over time in the frequency domain, where frequency of occurrence is color-graded so that infrequent transient events and the noise background are distinguished at a glance. Once a problem is discovered with DPX, the instrument can be set to trigger on the event, capture a continuous time record of changing RF events, and perform time-correlated analysis across all domains.

Listed applications include finding interference and unknown signals in spectrum monitoring and management, characterizing radar and pulsed RF signals, RF debug of components, modules, or systems, and analyzing the time-variant behavior of cognitive radio and software-defined radio systems. The series is also used to capture vector signal parameters of multi-carrier 3G and 4G systems for offline analysis. Power measurements and signal statistics such as ACLR, multi-carrier ACLR, power versus time, and CCDF help characterize components and systems.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, so the instruments we list are equipment we actually keep on hand. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house against the original manufacturer's specifications before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The RSA6100A Series consists of two Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer models that share the same DPX spectrum processing, trigger-capture-analyze architecture, deep-memory capture, and multi-domain analysis engine. The models are distinguished primarily by their upper frequency limit: the RSA6106A covers 9 kHz to 6.2 GHz and the RSA6114A covers 9 kHz to 14 GHz.

Both models support the same option set, including the Frequency Mask Trigger and 1 GB memory (Opt. 02), 110 MHz real-time capture bandwidth (Opt. 110), internal preamplifier (Opt. 01), advanced pulse measurements (Opt. 20), and digital modulation analysis (Opt. 21), so the choice between them is driven by the highest frequency the application needs to reach.

Each pre-owned model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the specific model and frequency coverage that fits your application, and review that page for its individual configuration and pricing.

The RSA6114A extends coverage to 14 GHz and carries additional specified performance above 6.2 GHz, including frequency response, displayed average noise level, image response, and phase-noise figures stated specifically for its higher bands.

The principal difference between the two models is frequency range: the RSA6106A reaches 6.2 GHz while the RSA6114A reaches 14 GHz. Several amplitude and noise specifications are stated separately for the higher-frequency bands of the RSA6114A, such as absolute amplitude accuracy of ±1.5 dB from 6.2 GHz to 14 GHz, displayed average noise level of -135 dBm/Hz from 7 GHz to 14 GHz, and VSWR of <1.9:1 from 6.2 GHz to 14 GHz.

Refer to the comparison table for the per-model frequency coverage and the band-specific values that apply to each model. Capture, trigger, DPX processing, and analysis capabilities are otherwise common to both members of the series.

Model Frequency Range Real-Time Capture Bandwidth Resolution Bandwidth
RSA6114A 9 kHz to 14 GHz 40 MHz (110 MHz, Opt. 110) 1 Hz to 5 MHz
RSA6106A 9 kHz to 6.2 GHz 40 MHz (110 MHz, Opt. 110) 1 Hz to 5 MHz

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
