Stanford Research Systems SR630 16-Channel Thermocouple Monitor (Pre-Owned)

Key Features At A Glance

  • 16 isolated, floating differential channels with a 250 V breakdown level for profiling electrically live equipment
  • Reads B, E, J, K, R, S and T thermocouples across a −200 °C to +1700 °C span at 0.1 °C display resolution
  • GPIB, RS-232 and Centronics printer interfaces standard; all functions settable and readable via RS-232 or GPIB
  • Each channel independently configurable for °C, °F, K, mV or V with per-channel thermocouple type, limits and alarms
  • 2,000-point battery-backed non-volatile memory time-stamps scans at dwell intervals from 10 s to 9999 s
  • Four rear-panel analog outputs proportional to channels 1–4 for driving recorders or proportional control systems
  • Also operates as a 16-channel DC voltmeter (30 mV to 100 V full scale) with 0.05 % gain accuracy
  • Built-in 1:15 analog multiplexer routes any of channels 1–15 to channel 16 for ATE and monitoring systems

The Stanford Research Systems SR630 is a 16-channel thermocouple monitor designed to read, scan, print and log temperatures or voltages. Using any one of seven standard thermocouple types, it reads temperatures from −200 °C to +1700 °C and displays results in °C, °F, K, mV or V on the front panel. Each of the 16 channels can be set independently to monitor either temperature or voltage, giving the instrument broad configuration flexibility for multi-point monitoring tasks.

The SR630 is built for remote monitoring applications, where it can time-stamp and store up to 2,000 readings in non-volatile memory for later analysis. Its isolated differential inputs and 250 V breakdown level let it tackle difficult applications such as temperature profiling of electrically live equipment. The four analog outputs can drive chart recorders or provide a feedback signal for proportional temperature control systems, and the integrated 1:15 analog multiplexer makes the unit useful in ATE systems and many other monitoring applications.

ValueTronics supplies the SR630 from our own 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where we stock and hold our inventory rather than sourcing to order. Every pre-owned unit is supported by that in-house operation: pre-owned units are inspected and functionally verified by our technicians before they ship, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.

Important: Maximum common-mode input: ±200 VDC. Input protection: 250 Vrms.
Important: Accuracy errors are for the SR630 only. Standard errors for thermocouple wire are 2 to 5 times the error due to the SR630.
Important: Thermocouples are not included with the SR630; K-type thermocouple probes are listed separately in the ordering information (O630KF1, O630KF2, O630KT1, O630KT2) and must be ordered to use the instrument.
Recommended pairing: the SRS O630-series K-type thermocouples (O630KF1/KF2 fiberglass or O630KT1/KT2 teflon, 5 ft and 10 ft) and the O630RMS/O630RMD rack-mount kits listed in the ordering information.
