The Rohde and Schwarz FPL1-B31 is the Li-ion battery pack option for series including the FPL1000 and ZNL, and is used to make them into a portable device.
The optional battery pack provides three hours of operation. With additional batteries and an additional charger, the operating time can be extended without interruption.
The "Battery Pack" option R&S FPL1-B31 comprises two Li-ion batteries and an internal charger. The internal charger charges the batteries whenever the instrument is connected to AC or DC power. During operation, if neither DC nor AC power is supplied, the testing device automatically switches to battery operation.
In addition to the internal battery pack (option R&S FPL1-B31), spare batteries are available. The spare battery pack R&S FPL1-Z4 comprises two additional Li-ion batteries.
Outside the testing device, batteries can be charged using the external battery charger R&S FSV-B34. Even during battery operation, you can exchange the internal batteries while the device is running, as long as one battery remains in the instrument. However, it is not recommended to operate with only one battery for a longer period.
