The Rohde & Schwarz FSP is a family of spectrum analyzers offered in five frequency tiers — FSP3, FSP7, FSP13, FSP30, and FSP40 — each beginning at 9 kHz and extending to an upper limit of 3, 7, 13.6, 30, or 40 GHz respectively. Frequency resolution reaches 0.01 Hz, and frequencies are read out using a marker or an integrated frequency counter with selectable resolution from 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz.
Beyond general spectrum measurements, the FSP platform hosts a broad set of optional application firmware packages for specific signal standards, including GSM/EDGE, 3GPP WCDMA and TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000, Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11a, and WiBro/WiMAX (IEEE 802.16 OFDMA), as well as dedicated phase-noise and noise-figure measurement firmware. Each of these is a separately ordered software option rather than a base-unit feature.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave the warehouse factory-sealed exactly as received.
Rohde & Schwarz is a privately held German electronics company that has operated under its founders' names since its establishment, with no major corporate rebranding or acquisition changing its identity.
The R&S FSP series comprises five spectrum analyzers that share a common architecture and differ principally in their upper frequency limit. All five models — FSP3, FSP7, FSP13, FSP30, and FSP40 — start at 9 kHz, with maximum frequencies of 3, 7, 13.6, 30, and 40 GHz respectively.
Across the series the instruments share the same resolution-bandwidth range, detector set, display, and remote-control interfaces, so the choice between models is driven primarily by the frequency coverage and RF connector system a given measurement requires.
Each pre-owned model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the FSP model whose frequency coverage and option compatibility match your application, then choose the pre-owned listing that fits your requirements and budget.
The models differ in upper frequency limit (3 GHz to 40 GHz), RF input connector system, and input VSWR — 1.5:1 below 3 GHz rising to 3.0:1 on the higher-frequency models — as shown in the comparison table. Typical weight also ranges from 10.5 kg to 12 kg across the series.
Option availability is model-dependent: the electronic attenuator with integrated preamplifier (FSP-B25) is offered only for the FSP3 and FSP7, while the LO/IF ports for external mixers (FSP-B21) are available only on the FSP40. Consult each model's row in the comparison table for its specific frequency range and supported options.
