The ADP30X are high-voltage active differential probes designed for safe, easy measurement of power electronics. The series comprises two models — the ADP300 and the ADP305 — both built to bring elevated and floating voltage signals safely into an oscilloscope's input.
The ADP300 is suited to troubleshooting low-frequency power devices and other circuits where the reference potential is elevated from ground, or where the location of ground is unknown. The ADP305 is designed for measuring the high-speed floating voltages found in modern power electronics. A differential probe lets an engineer measure the voltage between two points without referencing either to earth ground, which is essential when neither node sits at ground potential.

LeCroy Corporation was acquired by Teledyne Technologies in 2012 and has operated under the Teledyne LeCroy name since. The probes are produced under that brand.
The ADP30X family consists of two high-voltage active differential probes that share a common safety envelope: a 1,400 V peak differential voltage rating, a 1,000 VRMS common-mode voltage rating, EN61010 Category III compliance, and 80 dB of CMRR at 50/60 Hz. Both connect to the oscilloscope through the ProBus system, draw power from the scope, and support full remote control of attenuation, offset, and bandwidth limit.
The two models are separated primarily by bandwidth and the measurement task each targets. The ADP300 addresses low-frequency power devices and circuits with an elevated or unknown ground reference, while the ADP305 is built for the high-speed floating voltages of modern power electronics.

The ADP300 provides 20 MHz bandwidth and a sensitivity range of 1 V/div to 350 V/div, with a maximum slew rate of 60,000 V/µs referenced to input. The ADP305 provides 100 MHz bandwidth, a sensitivity range of 200 mV/div to 350 V/div, and a maximum slew rate of 300,000 V/µs referenced to input.
The headline difference between the models is bandwidth: 20 MHz on the ADP300 versus 100 MHz on the ADP305. This is accompanied by a higher maximum slew rate on the ADP305 (300,000 V/µs versus 60,000 V/µs, referenced to input) and a finer low-end sensitivity (200 mV/div versus 1 V/div), reflecting its focus on high-speed floating voltage measurements.
The shared specifications — 1,400 V peak differential, 1,000 VRMS common mode, Category III rating, ÷100/÷1000 attenuation, and ProBus control — are identical across both. Important: The ADP30X probes are powered by the oscilloscope through the ProBus interface; attenuation, offset, and bandwidth limit are controlled from the oscilloscope front panel or by remote control. A compatible ProBus-equipped oscilloscope is required for operation (no separate power supply or batteries are used).
