The Agilent N9010A is the EXA signal analyzer, positioned as the industry's fastest economy-class signal analyzer. It covers a frequency range starting at 9 kHz and extending to a maximum of 3.6, 7.0, 13.6, or 26.5 GHz according to the chosen frequency-range option, and it seamlessly integrates a broad range of standards-based measurements with the 89600 vector signal analysis (VSA) software in a single instrument. The EXA runs an open Windows XP Professional operating system and presents an advanced signal analysis user interface, with all measurement features and functions accessible from the front panel or via a USB keyboard and mouse.
The EXA is built to give development and manufacturing engineers the capabilities to cost-effectively troubleshoot new designs, increase manufacturing throughput, or analyze complex and time-varying signals. Optional measurement application software provides preconfigured test routines for 802.16e Mobile WiMAX, W-CDMA, HSDPA/HSUPA, and GSM/EDGE/EDGE Evolution, among others. Running the 89600 VSA software in the EXA enables advanced signal demodulation analysis and troubleshooting of more than 50 demodulation formats, including 2G, 3G, 3.5G, WiMAX, WLAN, and Private Mobile Radio.
ValueTronics stocks the instruments it sells from its own 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house against the original manufacturer's specifications before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. That combination of owned inventory and hands-on used-unit verification is what separates ValueTronics from listing aggregators that never touch the equipment they advertise.
Agilent Technologies was established in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business. In 2014, that electronic measurement business was transferred to a new company, Keysight Technologies, under which the line continues today.
The EXA signal analyzer is offered as the N9010A platform configured through frequency-range options, with each option setting the instrument's upper frequency limit. Option 503 covers 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz, Option 507 covers 9 kHz to 7.0 GHz, Option 513 covers 9 kHz to 13.6 GHz, and Option 526 covers 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz. All four share the same EXA architecture, advanced signal analysis interface, and Windows XP Professional operating environment.
Beyond the frequency-range choice, the same hardware and software options apply across the platform, including the B25 analysis bandwidth upgrade, FSA fine step attenuator, PFR precision frequency reference, P03 preamplifier, and the optional measurement application licenses. The frequency-range option is the primary axis that distinguishes one configuration from another.
Each pre-owned configuration below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the frequency-range option that matches your application's upper frequency requirement, then choose the configuration and condition that fits your budget.
The configurations differ principally in their upper frequency coverage: 3.6 GHz (Option 503), 7.0 GHz (Option 507), 13.6 GHz (Option 513), and 26.5 GHz (Option 526). The higher-frequency options add bands using the analyzer's LO multiple scheme, extending coverage through bands that reach to 26.5 GHz. AC-coupled operation begins at 10 MHz for all options, while DC-coupled operation extends down to 9 kHz.
Amplitude performance also varies with the frequency band rather than being uniform across the full span. Frequency response, for example, is specified at ±0.6 dB from 10 MHz to 3.6 GHz, widening to ±2.0 dB from 3.5 to 7.0 GHz and ±3.2 dB from 22.0 to 26.5 GHz, and the displayed average noise level differs band by band. The comparison table that follows summarizes how the frequency-range options and their associated band coverage compare.
| Model | Frequency Range | Option Code | AC-Coupled Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| N9010A | 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz | 503 | 10 MHz to 3.6 GHz |
