The Extech THD5 is a convenient, portable, one-time-use USB temperature datalogger built into a credit card-sized housing with a USB 2.0 connector and an NTC thermistor. The workflow is straightforward: plug the unit into a PC to adjust the settings, seal it back inside its plastic bag, place it where temperature needs to be monitored, and press START to begin recording. When the datalogging duration is complete, plugging it back into a PC automatically generates a PDF report.
The THD5 is suited to monitoring temperature readings for food, pharmaceuticals, and other cold chain goods during shipment. It can also be used to simultaneously monitor temperature levels in various locations throughout an office building, warehouse, or storage facility, making it a practical tool wherever temperature conditions must be documented over a defined period.
