The Extech SDL500 is a hygro-thermometer and datalogger that measures relative humidity, temperature, dew point, and wet bulb in a single handheld instrument. It records readings onto an SD card in Excel format for easy transfer to a PC for analysis, combining real-time measurement with onboard data capture in one unit.
A hygro-thermometer reads ambient temperature and humidity, while the calculated dew point and wet bulb values describe how moisture in the air will behave as conditions change. The SDL500 is intended to accurately measure temperature and humidity in environmentally sensitive areas, where both parameters need to be tracked and stored over time rather than simply read at a single moment.

Important: The standard delivery includes only the Humidity/Temperature probe (with 6 x AA batteries, SD card, and carrying case). The Type K/J thermocouple bead-wire and clamp probes required for high-temperature measurement are listed as separate ordering options (872502, TP870, TP200, TP400) and are not included with the base unit.
