The Extech MO55 is a combination pin/pinless moisture meter that lets the user take quick moisture measurements on wood and building materials using a choice of the contact-pin method or the non-invasive pinless method. It is an easy-to-operate, compact handheld instrument that uses display icons to indicate the levels of moisture content and adds an audible alert to signal rising moisture.
The MO55 is suited to building restoration projects and applications where moisture detection on floors, tiles, and under carpets is critical. It is positioned as a tool for analyzing the after-effects of water leakage behind walls and in ceilings, giving the user two ways to locate and quantify moisture in a structure.
