The Anritsu MS2711D is a handheld spectrum analyzer designed for fast, accurate, repeatable, portable spectrum analysis across the 100 kHz to 3.0 GHz frequency range. The instrument combines a ruggedized chassis intended for field environments with a battery-operated, ultra-lightweight form factor that allows spectrum analysis measurements to be conducted away from the bench. The MS2711D pairs broad measurement capability with a menu-driven user interface and a high-resolution 640x480 display available in monochrome or color (Option 3).

The MS2711D is built to locate, identify, record, and resolve communication systems problems. The datasheet positions the instrument for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work, including locating the source of interfering signals. Dedicated one-button routines support field strength, channel power, occupied bandwidth, Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR), C/I, and interference analysis — measurements the datasheet identifies as critical for today's wireless communication systems. With the optional FCN4760 frequency converter, the MS2711D extends into the 4.7 to 6.0 GHz range, supporting fixed wireless engineers responsible for design, deployment, and optimization of 802.11a networks and interference analysis at those frequencies.

Brand Heritage

Anritsu is a Japanese precision measurement company with roots dating to 1895. The company's RF and microwave measurement portfolio was significantly expanded by its 1993 acquisition of Wiltron Company, which brought network analyzer, scalar analyzer, and signal generator product lines into Anritsu. Used instruments from the Wiltron name are part of the same product lineage as instruments currently sold under Anritsu, and Anritsu has continued to develop the field RF and infrastructure test product families — including the Site Master cable and antenna analyzer family and the Spectrum Master handheld spectrum analyzer family — as core franchises in its handheld instrument business.
