The Agilent 83650B is the standard of excellence for applications requiring the high performance and accuracy of a synthesized source and the speed and versatility of a sweep oscillator. Also called a sweeper, the unit has synthesized broadband frequency coverage and precise 1 Hz frequency resolution (Opt 008) are generated by indirect synthesis, enabling it to achieve low single-sideband phase noise performance. The HP 83650B also delivers excellent harmonic performance with harmonics at least 50 dB below the carrier from 2.0 to 26.5 GHz and at least 40 dB below the carrier above 26.5 GHz. This unit is compatible with Agilent scalar and vector network analyzers, noise figure systems, and millimeter wave source modules. Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) ensures compatibility with other HP equipment.

CW and Manual Sweep Modes:
Accuracy: Same as time base
Switching Time:
Sweep widths >n × 10 MHz: (start, stop, and bandedge frequencies are phase-locked
corrected during sweep) Lesser of 1% of sweep width or n × 1 MHz + 0.1% of sweep width.
10 ms to 100 s, 300 MHz/ms maximum rate
