The Agilent 10076A is a 100:1 high voltage passive probe designed for oscilloscope measurements requiring elevated voltage handling beyond the limits of standard 10:1 probes. It provides a 66.7 MΩ input resistance when terminated into a 1 MΩ oscilloscope input and presents approximately 3 pF of input capacitance, with a compensation range of 6 to 20 pF to match the host oscilloscope's input capacitance.
High voltage probes of this class are used by engineers working with power supplies, motor drives, line-connected circuits, and other applications where signals exceed the input rating of a standard oscilloscope probe. The 10076A is rated for 4000 V CAT I (mains isolated) and 1000 V CAT II (post-receptacle mains) at pollution degree 2, with a frequency-dependent derating curve that defines the safe operating envelope from 100 kHz through 250 MHz.
