The Agilent E1411B is a 5.5-digit multimeter built as a C-size, 1-slot, register-based VXI module. Electrically it is identical to the E1326B, differing only in its physical size. The module carries two analog-to-digital converters: a low-noise integrating A/D for 5.5-digit measurements and a high-speed sampling A/D that returns 14-bit readings at rates up to 13 kHz. As an autoranging design, it covers DC voltage, true RMS AC voltage, 2- and 4-wire resistance, offset-compensated resistance, and temperature.

A multimeter resolves electrical quantities — voltage, resistance, and temperature among them — into precise numeric readings for measurement and characterization work. The E1411B is especially well suited to data acquisition and computer-aided test applications. Combined with an Agilent VXI relay or FET multiplexer, it becomes the core of a multichannel scanning multimeter: a single SCPI command to the E1406A command module can program the multimeter and the multiplexer channels together.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave factory-sealed exactly as received. That combination of held inventory and hands-on verification lets us match the right instrument to your VXI test system with confidence.

Brand Heritage

Agilent Technologies was established in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard, carrying forward HP's test and measurement business. In 2014 that business was renamed Keysight Technologies, which continues the line today. Instruments bearing the Agilent name date from this 1999–2014 era.

Important: Isolation: 450 Vpk between any terminal and chassis.
Important: With offset compensation on, four-wire resistance accuracy is the same as for the voltmeter alone.
Important: The Agilent E1406A command module and embedded controllers provide units conversion; if the E1411B is register programmed, your program must make the units conversion.
Important: Four-wire resistance accuracy data (with relay multiplexers) includes all errors contributed by the multimeter, analog bus ribbon cables, multiplexer, and transducer linearization (if applicable); the accuracies do not include transducer accuracy errors.
Important: Temperature accuracy graphs include instrument and firmware linearization errors based on ITS-90 standard transducer curves; add your transducer accuracy to determine total measurement error.
Important: Temperature, thermocouple, thermistor, and RTD measurements require an Agilent VXI multiplexer (e.g. E1343A, E1345A, E1346A, E1347A, or E1476A); for multichannel scanning the E1411B must be combined with an Agilent VXI relay or FET multiplexer.
Recommended pairing: combine the E1411B with an Agilent VXI relay or FET multiplexer such as the E1345A or E1347A to build a multichannel scanning multimeter, programmed together through the E1406A command module.
