The Agilent N9342C is a handheld spectrum analyzer (HSA) covering a frequency range of 100 kHz to 7 GHz, tunable down to 9 kHz, on an AC-coupled, 50 Ω Type-N input. Built for field use, it pairs benchtop measurement performance with a rugged, portable form factor: a 6.5 in (170 mm) TFT color display at 640 × 480 resolution, a weight of 3.2 kg, and battery operation, so the instrument can be carried into the environments where signals actually live.

Designed to make field measurements easier, the N9342C operates across a -10 to +50 °C temperature range and runs up to four hours on a fully charged battery, suiting it to routine field testing where bench instruments cannot go. Through its option set it extends into cable and antenna test, channel scanning, AM/FM and ASK/FSK modulation analysis, time-gated spectrum analysis, and high-accuracy power measurement, letting a single handheld cover a broad span of field tasks.
