The Agilent N5247A is a PNA-X microwave network analyzer covering 10 MHz to 67 GHz, offered in both 2-port and 4-port configurations. It measures the magnitude and phase of a device's S-parameters — its reflection and transmission characteristics — across the specified frequency range, presenting the results on an integrated color display.
Across its option set the analyzer performs reflection and transmission S-parameter measurements as well as group delay measurements. With Option 029 it adds hardware and firmware for high-accuracy noise figure measurements, and its internal receiver gates support point-in-pulse and pulse-profile measurements. Source and receiver behavior is characterized in detail through corrected and uncorrected system performance, dynamic range, harmonic, phase noise, and dynamic accuracy specifications.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
Agilent Technologies was established in 1999 as a spin-off from Hewlett-Packard, taking on its test and measurement business. In 2014, that test and measurement division was renamed Keysight Technologies.
The N5247A PNA-X is offered as a 2-port or 4-port microwave network analyzer covering 10 MHz to 67 GHz, configured through a family of test-set options. The 2-port path is built around Options 200, 219, and 224, while the 4-port path uses Options 400, 419, and 423.
Each configuration shares the same core frequency range, 1.85 mm test ports, and control interfaces, but differs in port count, available power range, and added source and switching hardware. The comparison below maps those configuration differences.
Each model and option configuration linked below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the pre-owned listing that matches the port count, options, and condition your application requires.
Within the PNA-X line, the N5247A is specified to 67 GHz with 1.85 mm test port connectors, with typical performance shown to 70 GHz where available.
The primary configuration differences are port count and added hardware. Options 200 and 400 are the standard 2-port and 4-port test sets with base power range; Options 219 and 419 add extended power range with source and receiver attenuators and bias-tees; and Options 224 and 423 add an internal second source, combiner, and mechanical switches.
Option 029 is a separate addition that provides hardware and firmware for high-accuracy noise figure measurements and requires Option 224 or 423. Refer to the comparison table for the per-configuration option requirements and dependencies.

Important: Maximum (damage) input level at test ports 1–4: greater than +24 dBm RF and 40 V DC (all options).
Important: All specifications and characteristics apply over a 25 °C ±5 °C range (unless otherwise stated) and 90 minutes after the instrument has been turned on.
Important: Typical performance information between 67 GHz and 70 GHz is shown where available; performance is degraded at particular frequencies in this range due to the modes of the 1.85 mm connectors used in the analyzer, test port cables and adapters.
Important: Option configuration requirements: Option 219 requires Option 200; Option 224 requires Options 200, 219, and 080; Option 419 requires Option 400; Option 423 requires Options 400, 419, and 080; Option 029 (high-accuracy noise figure) requires one of Option 224 or 423.
Important: Corrected system performance and full 2-port calibration specifications apply when used with the 85058B (1.85 mm) calibration kit (or N4694A 2-Port ECal module) and the N4697F flexible test port cable set; these calibration items are documented in this datasheet as part of the measurement setup.
