The Agilent N5244A and N5245A are PNA-X network analyzers offered in two-port and four-port configurations. They characterize the magnitude and phase response of RF and microwave components by measuring reflection (Sii) and transmission (Sij) S-parameters across a swept frequency range, reporting corrected performance after error correction and uncorrected raw performance.
Beyond standard S-parameter measurement, these analyzers perform group delay measurements and, with the addition of pulse generators and pulse modulators, point-in-pulse and pulse-profile pulsed-RF measurements. Configured with Option 029, they add hardware and firmware for high-accuracy noise figure measurements. External IF inputs and the external test set driver also support measurement configurations that use remote mixers.

This instrument carries Agilent Technologies branding. Agilent was established in 1999 as a spinoff of Hewlett-Packard, and its electronic test-and-measurement business was renamed Keysight Technologies in 2014.
The PNA-X family on this page spans the N5244A and N5245A, each offered in two-port and four-port configurations. The series shares a common measurement architecture and option set, differing principally in maximum frequency coverage.
Across the series, the analyzers support corrected and uncorrected S-parameter measurement, group delay, and pulsed-RF measurement, and through the option structure can add extended power range, an internal second source and combiner, and high-accuracy noise figure measurement.

The two models differ in frequency coverage: the N5244A spans 10 MHz to 43.5 GHz, while the N5245A extends to 10 MHz to 50.0 GHz. Both are available as two-port or four-port instruments, and option suffixes (200/400, 219/419, 224/423) determine power range, second-source, and combiner capability.
Option 029 adds high-accuracy noise figure measurement on either model and requires Option 224 or 423. The comparison table below summarizes the frequency, port, and option differences across the configurations.
