The PNA Series Network Analyzers comprise three models — the N3381A, N3382A, and N3383A — covering 300 kHz to 3.0 GHz, 300 kHz to 6.0 GHz, and 300 kHz to 9.0 GHz respectively. Each is a three-port S-parameter measurement system that characterizes the reflection and transmission behavior of RF components through full two-port calibrated measurements.
A vector network analyzer stimulates a device under test with a swept RF source and measures the magnitude and phase of the signals reflected from and transmitted through that device, yielding the S-parameters that describe its linear behavior. Across the series these measurements are made over selectable IF bandwidths, with error correction applied through a calibration of the test setup using known standards.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received, giving buyers a verified, accountable source for both new and pre-owned test and measurement equipment.
Agilent Technologies originated as the test-and-measurement business of Hewlett-Packard, which spun it out as a separate company in 1999. In 2014, Agilent's electronic measurement business was established as Keysight Technologies, which carries the product line forward today.
The PNA Series Network Analyzers are offered as three models that share a common architecture and differ in their upper frequency limit: the N3381A reaches 3.0 GHz, the N3382A reaches 6.0 GHz, and the N3383A reaches 9.0 GHz, each starting at 300 kHz. All three are three-port S-parameter systems built on the same source, receiver, and display platform.
Because the models share the same calibration-kit support, connectivity, IF-bandwidth range, and front- and rear-panel layout, the choice between them is driven primarily by the frequency coverage a given device under test requires.
Each pre-owned model below links to its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model whose frequency coverage fits your application, then review the pre-owned listing for that specific unit.
The N3381A covers 300 kHz to 3.0 GHz, the lowest of the three upper-frequency limits in the series, while sharing the three-port test set, source power range, and IF-bandwidth settings common to the family.
The primary difference across the family is maximum frequency — 3.0 GHz, 6.0 GHz, and 9.0 GHz for the N3381A, N3382A, and N3383A respectively — as shown in the comparison table below. Source power range reflects this as well: all models provide -15 to +10 dBm up to 6 GHz, with the 6 to 9 GHz band (applicable to the N3383A) specified at -15 to +7 dBm.
Options apply across the family, including the 1E1 step attenuator that extends the source power range down to -85 dBm, the 1E5 high-stability timebase, and Option 014 for receiver access. Refer to the comparison table for model-by-model frequency coverage.

Important: Test port damage level: +30 dBm or ±30 VDC, typical (ports 1, 2, 3). With Option 014, the R, A, B, and C receiver inputs are rated at +15 dBm or ±5 VDC, typical.
Important: Test port dynamic range specification applies only when power is sourced from Port 1; if power is sourced from either Port 2 or Port 3, dynamic range decreases by 3 dB.
Important: Source output power performance is specified on Port 1 only; Port 2 and Port 3 output performance is typically 3 dB less.
Important: Dynamic range may be limited at particular frequencies below 750 MHz due to spurious receiver residuals (to 100 dB at the test port and 115 dB at the receiver input).
Important: Line power requires a third-wire ground; the power supply has a voltage autoswitching feature.
Important: Option H08 and Option H11 specifications are not provided in this N3381/2/3A specifications document.
Recommended pairing: full two-port calibration uses the N6314A test port cable with a compatible kit or ECal module (85032F or 85092C for Type-N, 85033E or 85093C for 3.5 mm, 85038A for 7-16).
