The Fluke 5502A Multi-Product Calibrator is a full-functioned calibrator that addresses common workload items such as 3.5 and 4.5 digit digital multimeters. It sources direct voltage and current; alternating voltage and current with multiple waveforms and harmonics; simultaneous voltage and current outputs or dual voltage outputs to simulate DC and AC power with phase control; as well as resistance, capacitance, thermocouples, and RTDs. The 5502A can also measure thermocouples and thermocouple simulators, and two options add the capability to calibrate oscilloscopes to either 300 MHz or 600 MHz.

The 5502A is designed for metrology professionals who need a solution for calibrating low-to-medium accuracy electrical instrumentation. Typical workload covered includes handheld and bench meters (analog and digital) to 4.5 digits, current clamps and clamp meters, panel meters, electronic thermometers, chart recorders, oscilloscope recorders, XY recorders, and data loggers. Temperature measurement modes calibrate thermocouple simulators and can also document environmental conditions present at the time of calibration, as required by all quality standards.

ValueTronics operates from a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where every instrument is received, inspected, and tested by our in-house technicians before it ships. This direct handling model — rather than drop-shipping from third-party sources — is how ValueTronics has built its reputation since 1992 for matching the right instrument, in verified condition, to each customer's actual workload.

Brand Heritage

Fluke Calibration is the calibration-focused brand within Fluke Corporation. The 5502A is part of Fluke Calibration's Multi-Product Calibrator family, which also includes the 5080A and the higher-accuracy 5522A — each designed to match different combinations of workload and budget.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The Fluke Calibration Multi-Product Calibrator family was created to give metrology professionals a single instrument that calibrates the widest range of electronic test tools, with each model in the family matched to a different combination of workload coverage and accuracy. The family currently includes the 5080A High Compliance Multi-Product Calibrator, the 5502A Multi-Product Calibrator, and the 5522A Multi-Product Calibrator.

The 5502A sits between the 5080A and the 5522A in the family. It addresses common workload such as 3.5 and 4.5 digit digital multimeters, with optional oscilloscope calibration to 300 MHz or 600 MHz and optional high-current extension to 120 A through the 52120A Transconductance Amplifier.

Each pre-owned 5502A configuration listed below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing, separate inventory tracking, and a configuration-specific accessory list. Selecting the page that matches the desired oscilloscope calibration option ensures the quote reflects the actual hardware on hand.

The 5502A is offered in three configurations: the base 5502A without oscilloscope calibration, the 5502A/3 with the 300 MHz oscilloscope calibration option, and the 5502A/6 with the 600 MHz oscilloscope calibration option. All three configurations share the same electrical, resistance, capacitance, temperature, and high-current capabilities; the difference between them is the bandwidth of the integrated oscilloscope calibrator.

Across the Multi-Product Calibrator family, the 5080A provides 100 ppm basic DC voltage accuracy and is positioned for analog and digital workload with high voltage and current compliance. The 5502A provides 50 ppm basic DC voltage accuracy and addresses common workload including 3.5 and 4.5 digit DMMs, with optional oscilloscope calibration to 300 MHz or 600 MHz. The 5522A provides 11 ppm basic DC voltage accuracy, addresses 5.5 and 6.5 digit DMMs, and supports oscilloscope calibration to 1.1 GHz with optional power quality functions.

The comparison table that follows summarizes the workload coverage, basic DC voltage accuracy, and optional capabilities across the three Multi-Product Calibrator models so that the calibrator can be matched to the workload it will actually support.

Model Configuration Oscilloscope Calibration DC Voltage Accuracy
5502A Base unit (no scope option) Not included 50 ppm
5502A/3 With 300 MHz scope option 300 MHz 50 ppm
5502A/6 With 600 MHz scope option 600 MHz 50 ppm

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
