The Yokogawa AQ6370C is a benchtop optical spectrum analyzer covering a wavelength range of 600 to 1700 nm. It is built around a monochromator engineered for world-class optical performance, delivering high wavelength accuracy, high wavelength resolution, and a wide dynamic range so that engineers can characterize optical signals across the telecom and short-wavelength bands. The instrument accepts both single-mode and multimode fiber and displays measured spectra on a built-in 10.4-inch color LCD.
The AQ6370C is applied to the manufacturing of optical devices and optical transmission systems, as well as research and development and a variety of other applications. Listed application areas include optical active devices such as laser diodes, fiber lasers, optical amplifiers, and optical transceivers; optical passive devices such as filters, FBGs, AWGs, WSS, ROADMs, and optical fiber; and optical transmission equipment for DWDM and CWDM. Two specific measurement scenarios are called out: OSNR measurement on DWDM systems, where the built-in WDM analysis function reports peak wavelength, peak level, and OSNR for up to 1024 channels simultaneously, and optical amplifier (EDFA) measurement using the ASE interpolation method to evaluate gain, noise figure, and key parameters for fiber-amplifier characterization.
ValueTronics stocks this equipment in its own 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house by our technicians before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
The AQ6370C is offered in two models that share the same 600 to 1700 nm wavelength range and core optical platform: the Standard model (suffix -10) and the High performance model (suffix -20). Both cover single-mode and multimode fiber and use the same free-space input, interface set, and spectral analysis functions.
The High performance model provides even higher wavelength accuracy and a wider dynamic range than the Standard model. Choosing between them comes down to how tight a wavelength accuracy and how deep a dynamic range your measurements demand, since the two models are otherwise architecturally identical.
Each pre-owned model below is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing, so you can select the exact model and the exact pre-owned condition that fits your application and budget.
The two models differ primarily in wavelength accuracy and dynamic range. Wavelength accuracy in the 1520 to 1580 nm band is ±0.02 nm on the Standard model versus ±0.01 nm on the High performance model, while both share ±0.02 nm from 1580 to 1620 nm, ±0.04 nm from 1450 to 1520 nm, and ±0.1 nm across the full range.
Dynamic range also separates the two: at a 0.05 nm resolution setting and Peak ±1.0 nm, the Standard model is specified at 73 dB while the High performance model reaches a typical 78 dB. The High performance model additionally offers a sharper filter edge for higher close-in dynamic range and a stray-light suppression ratio of typically 80 dB versus 73 dB. The comparison table below summarizes these per-model differences.
| Model | Wavelength Range | Wavelength Accuracy | Dynamic Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| AQ6370C | 600 to 1700 nm | ±0.02 nm (1520 to 1580 nm) | 73 dB (Peak±1.0 nm, Resolution 0.05 nm) |
