The Keysight 16900 Series is a family of modular logic analysis system mainframes designed for digital debug, hardware/software integration, signal-quality analysis, and complex system validation. The family includes the 16901A (2-slot mainframe with built-in 15-inch touch display), the 16902A (6-slot mainframe with 12.1-inch built-in touch display), and the 16900A (6-slot mainframe that uses an external display). Each mainframe accepts measurement modules from the 16900-Series module portfolio, allowing the system to be configured to a specific channel count, state speed, and memory depth, then expanded as requirements evolve.

Brand Heritage

Keysight Technologies traces its test and measurement lineage through Hewlett-Packard, which spun off its T&M business as Agilent Technologies in 1999. In 2014, Agilent split again and the electronic measurement business became Keysight Technologies. The 16900 Series mainframes were originally introduced under the Agilent brand and are now supported under the Keysight name, and many units in the secondary market still bear Agilent branding.

The 16901A provides two module slots and a 15-inch built-in color touch display at 1024 x 768 resolution, with one full-profile PCI expansion slot. The 16902A provides six module slots and a 12.1-inch built-in touch display at 800 x 600 resolution, with one full-profile and one low-profile PCI slot. The 16900A provides six module slots and uses an external display, with the same one full-profile / one low-profile PCI configuration as the 16902A. All three mainframes support up to four external monitors at up to 1600 x 1200 when configured with a PCI video card.

Physical and power characteristics also differ across the family. The 16901A is rated at 115/230 V, 48-66 Hz, 775 W max and has a maximum net weight of 13.6 kg (30 lb).
