The B&K Precision 2100C Series is a family of dual-trace analog oscilloscopes designed to deliver continuous real-time waveform display at a price point typically associated with entry-level digital instruments. The series comprises four models — the 2120C, 2121C, 2125C, and 2160C — which share a common dual-trace architecture, 5 mV/div vertical sensitivity, calibrated 23-step time base with X10 magnification, video sync triggering, alternate and chop sweep, and sum/difference capability. Each unit is supplied with two PR-33A X1/X10 probes, an AC power cord, a spare fuse, and an instruction manual.
An analog oscilloscope captures voltage waveforms and displays them on a phosphor screen in real time, with no digital sampling or storage between the input signal and the trace. This continuous display behavior is preferred in education, training, audio and low-frequency analog troubleshooting, and any bench environment where a phosphor trace presentation of the signal is valued. The 2100C Series serves these applications with dual-channel viewing, video signal triggering, and an ADD mode that supports algebraic sum and difference measurements between Channel 1 and Channel 2.
The 2100C Series is a four-model family of dual-trace analog oscilloscopes from B&K Precision. All four models share the same dual-trace front-end architecture, 5 mV/div vertical sensitivity, calibrated 23-step time base with X10 magnifier, video sync triggering, alternate/chop dual-trace modes, and sum/difference (ADD) capability — the common platform on which the series is built.
Where the models differ is in bandwidth and in the integrated feature added to each unit. The 2120C is the baseline dual-trace 30 MHz instrument. The 2121C adds an integrated 50 MHz frequency counter. The 2125C adds a built-in component tester and delayed time base.
Each pre-owned model in the 2100C Series is listed on its own product page with condition-specific pricing and inventory. Select the model that matches your bandwidth and integrated-feature requirement, then choose the condition tier that fits your application.
Bandwidth is the first differentiator within the series. The 2120C, 2121C, and 2125C are 30 MHz instruments with a sweep range of 0.1 µs/div to 2 s/div. The 2160C is the 60 MHz model in the series, with an extended sweep range of 20 ns/div to 5 s/div and 12 kV CRT accelerating voltage in place of the 2 kV used in the 30 MHz models.
Integrated features are the second differentiator. The 2121C is the only model in the series with a built-in frequency counter (5-digit LED, 0.1 Hz to 50 MHz range, auto-ranging from 0.001 Hz resolution). The 2125C and 2160C carry the built-in component tester for in-circuit checks of resistors, capacitors, inductors, and semiconductors, and both add delayed time base operation with Main, Mix, Delay, and X-Y sweep modes. The 2120C is the baseline configuration without the counter, component tester, or delayed sweep.
