The Anritsu MT8220T BTS Master is a high-performance handheld Base Station Analyzer built for the installation and maintenance of wireless networks. It is an all-in-one, touchscreen handheld instrument that combines cable and antenna testing, signal analysis for cellular standards, ultra-sensitive spectrum analysis, interference tracking, and a vector signal generator for receiver testing in a single compact unit. The instrument ships with a standard three-year warranty.
Within wireless network installation and maintenance, the MT8220T addresses several distinct workflows. As a cable and antenna analyzer it measures return loss, VSWR, cable loss, distance-to-fault, phase, and gain for line-sweep verification of feedlines and antenna systems. As a spectrum and interference analyzer it supports occupied bandwidth, channel power, ACPR, carrier-to-interference, field strength, and spectral emission measurements, along with interference-tracking tools such as spectrogram, signal strength, RSSI, and Signal ID. Coverage mapping plots RSSI on an on-screen map, and interference mapping supports on-screen triangulation.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Pre-owned instruments are inspected and functionally verified in-house by our technicians before they ship, while new units leave factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer, so buyers get the condition they expect with the backing of a dedicated test-equipment specialist.

Important: Maximum continuous input: +30 dBm. The RF In connector (Type N, female, 50 ohm) is rated to a maximum of +30 dBm and +/-50 VDC.
Important: The High Accuracy Power Meter function requires an external USB power sensor, which is sold separately and is not included with the base unit (datasheet: "High Accuracy Power Meter — Requires external USB power sensor, sold separately").
Important: CPRI Measurements (Option 750) operate over a –10 °C to +45 °C temperature range.
Important: Calibration is within the recommended 12 month period (residual specifications also require calibration kit calibration cycle adherence).
Usage tip: the Interference Analyzer option supports the Anritsu MA2700A Handheld Interference Hunter for direction-finding and interference mapping.
