The HP 4142B Modular DC Source/Monitor is a user-configurable DC parametric tester from Hewlett-Packard with an open architecture mainframe accepting plug-in measurement modules. The mainframe provides eight slots that accept a mix of Source/Monitor Units (SMUs), High Current Units (HCUs), High Voltage Units (HVUs), Voltage Source/Voltage Monitor Units (VS/VMUs), and the Analog Feedback Unit (AFU). The instrument is positioned by HP for DC characterization of semiconductor devices, process control in semiconductor manufacturing, and device modeling in research and development.
