The Agilent N2750A InfiniiMode differential active probe is a high-bandwidth differential probe designed for general-purpose, high-speed differential probing applications. The N2750A model provides 1.5 GHz probe bandwidth (-3 dB) with a 233 picosecond rise time, while companion models in the series extend coverage to 3.5 GHz (N2751A) and 6 GHz warranted with 7 GHz typical (N2752A). The probe connects to Agilent InfiniiVision and Infiniium oscilloscopes through the AutoProbe interface, which provides automatic probe identification, configuration, and probe power without requiring an external power supply.

An oscilloscope probe is the physical interface between a measurement instrument and the circuit under test. A differential active probe specifically measures the voltage difference between two points without referencing either point to ground, which is essential for characterizing signals where neither node sits at chassis potential — including modern serial bus signals, switching power supply nodes, and bridged amplifier outputs. Active differential probes incorporate amplification and impedance buffering near the probe tip to minimize signal loading on the circuit being measured.

Brand Heritage

Agilent Technologies was spun off from Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business in 1999, then in 2014 Agilent further divided when its electronic measurement business became Keysight Technologies. Agilent-branded oscilloscope probes and instruments from this era are part of the lineage now carried forward under the Keysight brand for current production, while the original Agilent product designations remain in active service across the installed base.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The N2750A series consists of three differential active probe models that share a common architecture, accessory ecosystem, and InfiniiMode capability but differ in bandwidth tier. The N2750A delivers 1.5 GHz bandwidth, the N2751A delivers 3.5 GHz, and the N2752A delivers 6 GHz warranted with 7 GHz typical performance. All three models share identical input resistance, input capacitance, dynamic range, offset range, and operating environment specifications — the bandwidth tier is the primary differentiator.

Across all three models, the dual attenuation ratio (2:1 / 10:1), the ±30 V maximum non-destructive input voltage, the 200 kΩ differential input resistance, and the AutoProbe interface compatibility are identical. The choice between models is driven primarily by the highest-frequency signal content the measurement application requires, with secondary consideration for the rise time specification (233 ps on the N2750A, 100 ps on the N2751A, and 58.3 ps on the N2752A).

Each pre-owned model in this series is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing and configuration detail. Review each model's listing alongside the comparison table below to confirm bandwidth fit against the application's highest signal frequency content.

The three models differ principally in three specifications: probe bandwidth (-3 dB), rise time (10–90%), and system bandwidth when paired with a compatible Agilent oscilloscope. The N2750A pairs with Agilent's 1 GHz Infiniium and InfiniiVision oscilloscopes for 1 GHz system bandwidth. The N2751A pairs with the 2.5 GHz Infiniium oscilloscopes for 2.5 GHz system bandwidth. The N2752A pairs with 4/6 GHz Infiniium oscilloscopes for 4/6 GHz system bandwidth.

Browser tip bandwidth also tracks the host probe model: up to 1.5 GHz with the N2750A, up to 3.5 GHz with the N2751A, and up to 6 GHz warranted / 7 GHz typical with the N2752A. The solder-in tip is rated up to 1.5 GHz with the N2750A and up to 2.5 GHz with the N2751A/52A, while the socketed tip is rated up to 1.5 GHz with the N2750A and up to 3 GHz with the N2751A/52A. The full comparison of these specifications appears in the table below.

Model Probe Bandwidth (-3dB) Rise Time (Probe Only, 10-90%) System Bandwidth
N2752A 6 GHz (warranted), 7 GHz (typical) 58.3 psec 4/6 GHz (with Agilent's 4/6 GHz Infiniium oscilloscope)
N2750A 1.5 GHz 233 psec 1 GHz (with Agilent's 1 GHz Infiniium/InfiniiVision oscilloscope)
N2751A 3.5 GHz 100 psec 2.5 GHz (with Agilent's 2.5 GHz Infiniium oscilloscope)

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
