The Agilent E1366A is a Dual 1x4 50 Ohm RF Multiplexer in a B-size, 1-slot, register-based VXI form factor. The module is arranged as two independent banks of channels — Bank 0 and Bank 1 — each acting as a 1x4 one-wire multiplexer. Switching consists of connecting a channel to its common terminal, with only one channel in each bank connected to its common at any time. At power-on or reset, all channels are open and connected to their 50 Ohm termination resistors.
The E1366A is positioned as the ideal choice for switching test signals to oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, distortion analyzers, and other RF equipment. The multiplexer can easily be used with SCPI commands to scan multiple channels, where each channel is switched to its common one at a time. The tree-switched relay configuration provides high isolation and low VSWR — supporting applications where signal integrity across multiple RF test paths is essential.
ValueTronics International has supported test and measurement professionals since 1992, operating from a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every instrument that passes through our facility is inspected and tested by our in-house technicians before it ships — a meaningful distinction from drop-shippers and pass-through brokers who never physically handle the equipment they sell. For VXI modules like the E1366A, that hands-on verification matters: register-based modules with relay-based switching paths need to be confirmed functional and within specification before they enter a customer's test system.
The E1366A originated within Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement division. HP spun out its test and measurement business as Agilent Technologies in 1999, which subsequently transferred its electronic measurement business to Keysight Technologies in 2014. Modules carrying the Agilent brand from this product generation are part of that continuous HP-to-Agilent-to-Keysight lineage.
