The Teledyne Test Tools T3RC Rogowski Current Probes are a family of flexible current probes covering a wide frequency span and current measurement ranges for maximum application coverage while remaining easy to use in difficult-to-reach parts of a circuit. The flexibility of the probe sense coil means measurements can often be made without modification to the circuit under test, giving more accurate results while remaining isolated, with a very low insertion load of only a few pH. Both battery power and wall-plug operation are supported, so the probes are as suited to work in the field as on the bench.

A Rogowski current probe measures current by sensing the magnetic field around a conductor through a flexible coil, without breaking the circuit. The T3RC series is applied to component-level design and development such as semiconductor switching waveforms in MOSFET or IGBT devices, as well as capacitor and inductor devices. It is also used for system-level development such as motor drives in hybrid and fully electric transportation systems (automotive, rail, sea), power converter design and development for wind farms and other renewable energy, research and development, and long-term system monitoring and maintenance.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.

## Brand Heritage

Teledyne Test Tools is a brand and trademark of Teledyne LeCroy Inc., where the "T3" prefix stands for Teledyne Test Tools. Teledyne LeCroy, founded in 1964 and headquartered in Chestnut Ridge, New York, offers the Teledyne Test Tools line as an extension of its broader oscilloscope and test-and-measurement portfolio. LeCroy Corporation became part of Teledyne Technologies in 2012, after which the combined test-and-measurement business has operated under the Teledyne LeCroy name.

## Compare Other Models in This Series

The Teledyne Test Tools T3RC series comprises five Rogowski current probes that share a common flexible-coil sensing approach while spanning a broad range of current and frequency capability. The series is designed to give more choice for better application coverage, with models differing in maximum current, bandwidth, coil size, and peak insulation.

All five models share near-zero insertion impedance, flexible coils that insert into difficult-to-reach parts of a circuit without modifying the device under test, dual battery and wall-adapter power, and a simple BNC connection at 1 MOhm. Each ships complete with a set of batteries, a power line adapter, a BNC cable, and a storage box.

Each model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing for the new unit you select. Choose the model that matches your current, bandwidth, and coil-size requirement, then pick the condition that fits your budget and program needs.

The five models separate primarily by maximum current and bandwidth. The T3RC0300-UM covers up to 300 Amps (9.2 Hz to 30 MHz) with the smallest 80 mm coil and a 1.7 mm cross-section for embedded probing. The T3RC0600-HF (up to 600 Amps, 12 Hz to 30 MHz) and T3RC3000-HF (up to 3000 Amps, 3 Hz to 23 MHz) are general-purpose probes with extended high-frequency coverage and 5 kV peak insulation. The T3RC3000-LF (up to 3000 Amps, 0.11 Hz to 6.5 MHz) and T3RC6000-LF (up to 6000 Amps, 0.055 Hz to 6.5 MHz) extend low-frequency performance below 1 Hz with 10 kV peak insulation.

Coil circumference grows with current capability, from 80 mm on the UM model to 300 mm on the two highest-current LF models, and coil insulation voltage rises from 1.2 kV to 10 kV across the range. Operating temperature also differs by group: -40 C to +125 C on the coil and cable of the UM and HF probes versus -20 C to +100 C on the LF probes. The comparison table that follows lists sensitivity, peak current, droop, bandwidth, and division ratio for each model.

> **Important:** Integrator operating temperature is 0 C to +40 C, narrower than the coil and cable rating (-40 C to +125 C on UM and HF probes, -20 C to +100 C on LF probes).

> **Important:** Calibrated to + 0.2% reading with conductor central in the coil loop.

> **Important:** The Division Ratio value can be used in your oscilloscope's input channel settings (sometimes referred to as 'Attenuation') to adjust the vertical scaling; where supported, set the vertical scale units to A to reflect an Amps measurement.

> **Important:** The probe and its parts are covered by a 1 year return to Teledyne LeCroy warranty.

> **Important:** The probes require an oscilloscope with a BNC input of 1 MOhm impedance to be used.

> **Important:** The Rogowski probes connect via a BNC input with 1 MΩ impedance and are compatible with all Teledyne Test Tools oscilloscopes and Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes, as well as the majority of oscilloscopes on the market.

> **Important:** These probes connect to an oscilloscope via a BNC input with 1 MOhm impedance and require an oscilloscope to display measurements (oscilloscope not included).

> Recommended pairing: connect the probe to a Teledyne Test Tools or Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscope via its BNC (1 MOhm) input, and set the model's division ratio as the channel attenuation to read directly in Amps.
