The RSA600A Series is a family of USB-based laboratory spectrum analyzers that deliver high-bandwidth spectrum analysis in a small, very transportable package. The series comprises the RSA603A, covering 9 kHz to 3.0 GHz, and the RSA607A, covering 9 kHz to 7.5 GHz. Both models capture a 40 MHz acquisition bandwidth and bring real-time spectrum analysis and wide analysis bandwidth to engineers who need to characterize, validate, and manufacture their designs. The USB form factor places the processing power on the host PC of your choice, so you decide when you need more processing power or memory.

The RSA600A Series is intended for the characterization of RF devices, subsystems, and systems, for manufacturing test, and for mobile field operations. The optional tracking generator enables gain/loss measurements for quick tests of filters, amplifiers, duplexers, and other components, and supports the addition of cable and antenna measurements of VSWR, return loss, distance to fault, and cable loss.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Holding inventory under one roof lets our team match the right instrument to your application and get it on your bench quickly.

## Compare Other Models in This Series

The RSA600A Series consists of USB real-time spectrum analyzers that share a common 40 MHz acquisition bandwidth and the SignalVu-PC software platform, differing primarily in upper frequency coverage. The RSA603A spans 9 kHz to 3.0 GHz, while the RSA607A extends coverage to 9 kHz to 7.5 GHz. Both models use a 14-bit, 112 Ms/s A/D converter and include a standard GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou receiver.

All specifications are stated to apply to all models unless noted otherwise, so the core acquisition architecture, DPX processing, and connectivity are consistent across the series. The model you choose is driven mainly by the highest frequency you need to measure and the corresponding range of the optional tracking generator.

Each new model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the frequency tier that fits your application, then choose the listing that matches the condition and configuration you need.

The defining difference across the family is upper frequency limit: the RSA603A reaches 3.0 GHz and the RSA607A reaches 7.5 GHz. The RSA607A also carries additional specified bands above 3 GHz, including DANL, distortion, and phase-noise figures across the 3 GHz to 7.5 GHz range, plus a stated preamp gain of 21 dB at 6 GHz. The optional Option 04 tracking generator follows the host model, covering 10 MHz to 3 GHz on the RSA603A and 10 MHz to 7.5 GHz on the RSA607A.

Both models retain the same 40 MHz acquisition bandwidth, 14-bit/112 Ms/s digitizer, GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou receiver, and SignalVu-PC base measurement set, so the analysis workflow is identical regardless of tier. See the comparison table below for the per-model frequency ranges and related specifications.

> **Important:** Maximum DC voltage: ±40 V (RF input). Maximum safe input power: +33 dBm (RF input, 10 MHz to 7.5 GHz, RF Attn ≥ 20 dB); +13 dBm (9 kHz to 10 MHz); +20 dBm (RF Attn < 20 dB).

> **Important:** The RSA600 requires a PC with Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 10, 64-bit operating system. A USB 3.0 connection is required for operation. 8 GB RAM and 20 GB free drive space is required for installation of SignalVu-PC. For full performance of the real-time features, an Intel Core i7 4th generation processor is required; lower-performance processors can be used with reduced real-time performance. Storage of streaming data requires a drive capable of streaming storage rates of 300 MB/sec.

> **Important:** The host PC and SignalVu-PC analysis software run the measurements; the RSA600A is a USB-based RF front end and is not a self-contained, standalone instrument.

> **Important:** The tracking generator is Option 04 and is not included in the standard configuration (10 MHz to 3 GHz on RSA603A, 10 MHz to 7.5 GHz on RSA607A).

> **Important:** Standard delivery includes only a USB 3.0 cable, power cord, connector covers, quick-start manual and a USB memory device with software; RF cables, adapters, attenuators, antennas and other connection accessories required to connect to a device under test are sold separately (see Recommended accessories).

> **Important:** Recording of signals requires storage with write rates of 300 MB/sec; playback of recorded files at live rates requires storage with read rates of 300 MB/sec.

> Recommended pairing: when using the Option 04 tracking generator for cable and antenna measurements, add the Tektronix calibration kits (e.g., CALOSLNM, CALOSLNF) and rugged phase-stable type-N cables listed in the RSA600 accessories.
