It provides three selectable full-scale ranges — 1 A, 100 A, and 1000 A — with corresponding measuring ranges of 0.001 to 1.2 A, 0.1 to 120 A, and 1 A to 1200 A AC, and applies output ratios of 1 mV/mA, 10 mV/A, and 1 mV/A respectively across those ranges. A current transducer clamp couples around a conductor to sense the AC current flowing through it without breaking the circuit, presenting a scaled low-level output that a host instrument can read.
