**Important:** The 5615-12 Secondary Reference PRT has a probe range of -200 °C to 420 °C but a transition junction range of -50 °C to 200 °C. The probe will be damaged if the handle is exposed to temperatures outside the -50 °C to 200 °C range. For applications below -50 °C, the 5606 Full Immersion PRT operates with a transition junction range matching its full -200 °C to 160 °C probe range.**Important:** Reference probes must be terminated with the correct connector for the chosen readout: type P (smart Lemo) for the 1523/1524, type D (DIN) for the 1502A/1504, and type L (gold-plated mini spade lug) for the 1529 and 1586A. A Lemo-to-Universal Thermocouple adapter (2373-LTC) is available for connection to thermocouples on the 1523/1524.**Important:** The 1524 can measure two channels at a time, but only one channel can be a thermocouple.**Important:** Probe transition-junction temperature limits must be observed independently of probe-tip temperature range. For example, the 5615-12 Secondary Reference PRT has a probe range of -200 °C to 420 °C but a transition-junction range of -50 °C to 200 °C; exceeding the transition-junction limits can damage the probe even when the tip is within its rated range.**Important:** Minimum probe immersion is approximately 15 times the probe diameter plus the sensor length. Insufficient immersion of the reference probe or unit under test will produce inaccurate measurements.**Important:** The 5606 Full Immersion PRT does not include a factory calibration as standard; calibration is available as an option. Until calibrated, the chain of traceability is broken.**Important:** Type T and Type K thermocouples are typically supplied uncalibrated by the manufacturer. Check with the distributor regarding thermocouple calibration options.**Important:** "Basic Accuracy" values listed for probes include calibration uncertainty and short-term repeatability but do not include long-term drift.Recommended pairing: connector type must match the readout. Use 5615-x-P, 5627A-x-P, 5628-12-P, 5606-50-P, and 5610-9-P probes with the 1523/1524. Use the -D termination variants with the 1502A/1504. Use the -L termination variants with the 1529 and 1586A.
