The DSA700 Series is an all-digital IF spectrum analyzer covering a frequency range from 100 kHz up to 1 GHz. Built around an all-digital intermediate-frequency architecture, it presents spectral measurements on an 8-inch WVGA (800x480) TFT LCD display in a compact, lightweight chassis measuring 361.6 mm x 178.8 mm x 128 mm and weighing 4.25 kg.

A spectrum analyzer measures and displays signal amplitude across a range of frequencies, letting an engineer characterize spurious content, harmonics, and channel power in the frequency domain. With the optional Advanced Measurement Kit, the series performs harmonic distortion, third-order intercept (TOI), emission bandwidth, channel power, time-domain power, adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, carrier-to-noise ratio, and pass/fail measurements. Zero-span operation supports AM signal demodulation, while the peak table function reads out spectrum peak values.

ValueTronics International has supplied new and used test and measurement equipment since 1992 and stocks its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.

## Compare Other Models in This Series

The DSA700 Series comprises two models that share the same all-digital IF architecture and differ principally in upper frequency limit: the DSA705 covers 100 kHz to 500 MHz, while the DSA710 extends coverage to 1 GHz. Both provide the same 100 Hz minimum resolution bandwidth, 1 Hz frequency resolution, and 8-inch WVGA display.

Across the series, amplitude and noise performance is shared, including displayed average noise level, SSB phase noise, and level measurement uncertainty, so model selection is driven primarily by the required frequency span.

Each new model in the DSA700 Series below is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model whose frequency coverage matches your application, then choose the new unit that fits your requirements.

The defining difference between the two models is upper frequency limit: the DSA705 reaches 500 MHz and the DSA710 reaches 1 GHz, as shown in the comparison table. SSB phase noise is specified at fc = 500 MHz for the DSA705 and fc = 1 GHz for the DSA710, with both rated <-80 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset.

Beyond frequency range, the two models share specifications such as displayed average noise level, frequency response, input attenuation range (0 dB to 30 dB in 1 dB steps), reference-level range, and a standard weight of 4.25 kg. Options including the EMI-DSA800 kit, the AMK-DSA800 advanced measurement kit, Ultra Spectrum PC software, and SSC-DSA signal seamless capture apply across the series.
