The Anritsu ML2400A Series is a family of RF and microwave power meters that combine speed, accuracy, sensitivity, a graphics display, voltage measurement, and portability in a single instrument. Available with single or dual sensor inputs, the series measures average, peak, and pulsed power using Anritsu MA2400A/B Series power sensors across a frequency range that extends, sensor dependent, from 100 kHz to 50 GHz. From its Preset condition the meter delivers a power measurement with a minimum of keystrokes, and basic measurements can be made with just two operations: a sensor zero and entry of the measurement frequency.

The series is applied to the precise characterization of amplifier output power and gain, where the dual-channel ML2438A measures gain and output power simultaneously using two independent signal channels that eliminate multiplexing. It supports average power measurements on N-CDMA (IS-95), WCDMA, and other digitally modulated carriers such as HDTV, DAB, and QAM modulated radio links, and it captures and displays individual time slots of TDMA systems including GSM, DCS-1800, DECT, IS-136, PCS-1900, and PHS. The graphics display also profiles cellular, PCS, radar, aircraft control, and telemetry signals, and the Power vs Time mode provides a strip-chart display of RF power variation over windows from one minute to 24 hours.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned instrument we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave our facility factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. Because we hold our own stock, the power meter you order is on our shelves and ready to move.

## Compare Other Models in This Series

The Anritsu ML2400A Series comprises four power meter models that share a common chassis, graphics display, and sensor compatibility while differing in input count and target measurement class. The ML2437A and ML2438A provide standard power measurement with single and dual sensor inputs respectively, while the ML2407A and ML2408A are NCDMA power meters offered in single- and dual-input configurations.

Every model in the series works with the MA2400A/B Series power sensors and reads calibration factor and linearity data from each sensor's internal EEPROM, simplifying setup and reducing human error. The dual-input models present two independent signal channels, eliminating multiplexing so that two measurements such as amplifier output power and gain can be taken simultaneously.

Each model in the ML2400A Series links to its own dedicated product page with pre-owned pricing matched to that listing. Select the single-input, dual-input, or NCDMA configuration your application requires, and review that model's page for its specific condition and availability.

The primary differences across the series fall along two axes: input count and measurement class. Single-input models (ML2437A, ML2407A) accept one sensor, while dual-input models (ML2438A, ML2408A) accept two independent sensors. The standard models, ML2437A and ML2438A, provide a channel bandwidth of 100 kHz nominal, whereas the NCDMA models, ML2407A and ML2408A, provide 1.4 MHz nominal channel bandwidth.

The NCDMA models add average power, peak power, and crest factor measurement on N-CDMA signals, and are intended for use with the fast diode sensors required for narrow-pulse and IS-95 work. Zero-set, drift, and noise figures also differ between the standard models (less than 0.5%) and the NCDMA models (less than 1.8%). Consult the comparison table below for the per-model figures.
