The Keithley 2651A is a High Power System SourceMeter Instrument in the Series 2600A family, designed specifically to characterize and test high power electronics. As a single instrument it combines a four-quadrant voltage and current source/load with precision voltage and current meters, allowing it to function as a semiconductor characterization instrument, a V or I waveform generator, a V or I pulse generator, a precision power supply, a true current source, a digital multimeter with 5½-digit resolution, and a precision electronic load.

Applications listed for the 2651A include power semiconductor, HBLED, and optical device characterization and testing; characterization of GaN, SiC, and other compound materials and devices; semiconductor junction temperature characterization; high speed, high precision digitization; electromigration studies; and high current, high power device testing. The instrument is positioned to improve productivity in applications across the R&D, reliability, and production spectrums, including high brightness LEDs, power semiconductors, DC-DC converters, batteries, and other high power materials, components, modules, and subassemblies.

ValueTronics has been a trusted source for new and pre-owned test and measurement equipment since 1992, operating from a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every instrument we sell — including high-power source-measure units like the 2651A — is processed, inspected, and tested at our own facility before it ships. That hands-on workflow is what distinguishes ValueTronics from drop-shippers and pass-through brokers: when a high-power SMU leaves our dock, our team has confirmed it is ready for the lab bench it is going to.

## Brand Heritage

Keithley Instruments was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946 and became a recognized authority in low-level precision measurement and source-measure instrumentation. Keithley was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2010 and, following Danaher's 2016 separation of its industrial test and measurement businesses, is now part of Fortive Corporation alongside Tektronix. Keithley-branded SourceMeter instruments continue to be developed and supported under the Keithley name within the Fortive group.
