# 8672S Agilent RF Generator Used

As a single 9-inch high package, the Agilent 8672S features 10 MHz to 18 GHz single-knob continuous frequency tuning, calibrated CW output power, and a modulator allowing high-quality pulse modulation of the entire frequency range. All front-panel controls, with the exception of the line switches, are HP-IB programmable. The Agilent 8672S Synthesized Signal Generator has a frequency range of 2 GHz to 18 GHz. The RF output is constantly variable from +1 dBm to -120 dBm with an output impedance of 50 ohms. Spectral purity is excellent on this generator and phase-locked loop responses are optimized to allow the Agilent 8672S to exhibit the lowest possible single-sideband phase noise.
